Keepsy Box is coming to Gandy Street, Exeter this summer

Known for our signature purple branding, Keepsy Box Newton Abbot quickly became one of the town's most talked about independent spaces.

Having opened our first shop in 2025, we're a mother-and-son team with over 20 years of retail experience in the South West. Keepsy Box offers something refreshingly outside of the box. Many people call us the "all-year-round craft fair”; a vibrant, ever-changing collection of handmade gifts, art and curiosities, all created by South West-based makers, who we work alongside, representing their creativity and opening new opportunities for small businesses, artists, crafters and hobbyists.

We are thrilled to be bringing our little box of wonders to Exeter!

Keepsy Box is built on the idea that creativity should be accessible, celebrated, and shared.

Everything we sell is handmade or designed by independent creators, from established craft businesses to passionate hobbyists. The result is a shopping experience packed full of personality, where no two visits are the same.

Unlike traditional “rent-a-shelf” spaces, we work closely with makers, offering flexible, affordable opportunities without long tie-ins, and providing daily sales updates. It’s a model designed to support creativity, not restrict it.

Sustainability is also at the heart of our shop, from thoughtfully sourced materials in a wide range of makers’ products, to our very own original “Keepsy Boxes” – intricate framed scenes made using pre-loved vintage and collectible toys.

Whether you’re searching for a one-of-a-kind gift, a treat for yourself, or simply a dose of inspiration, we invite customers to to explore the quirky, the fun and the unforgettable – including one or two treasures sure to make you smile.

We’re now open for submissions from talented individuals who’d love to have their products featured in our shop.

What you need to know about joining Keepsy Box Exeter

Rent a Display Space for a monthly fee (between £18 and £48, depending on size and location in the shop). As well as handmade gifts, we also stock artwork, prints, greetings cards, jewellery, accessories, ornaments, body products – and much more.
We take a small commission of 20% from each sale, or 14% if you also stock in our Newton Abbot shop.
We’ll look after your stock inventory, let you know when to top up, and keep a record of your earnings — simple.
Your products will be beautifully displayed and organised, and we’ll rotate displays so that everyone gets a chance to shine in the shop window.
We love supporting makers who keep sustainability in mind, and we encourage you to customise your display with your branding to help promote yourself
We actively promote your creations on social media, ensuring they get the spotlight they deserve, and actively provide feedback and advice on how to improve sales

🎨 Young Artist Enterprise (Ages 14–18)

We’re passionate about encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Our Young Artist Enterprise Programme gives young creatives aged 14–18 the opportunity to apply for a shelf for FREE.

We take a 30% commission on sales, but there’s no monthly rental cost — making this a fantastic way to:

Gain real-world retail experience
Build entrepreneurial and financial skills
Showcase your work to the public
Start making money from your talents

This is an amazing opportunity to launch your creative journey with support and guidance from us.

We also have requirements for selling certain products, such as cosmetics, candles and soaps

What happens next?

After you submit your application, we will review your information and images and make a decision. If space is available, we'll contact you with terms and conditions and arrange to setup. If we are full, we will add your name to our waiting list and get back to you when a space opens up.

We want makers to get the best experience possible, therefore we will select makers who we feel would be a good fit for the shop. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept all submissions.
